Sulthanpalya wins overall championship for 2nd time at Inter-Sangha Kodava Samaja badminton tournament

Bengaluru :

Sri Vijaya Ganapathi Kodava Sangha (SVGKS), Sulthanpalya, secured the overall championship for the second consecutive year at the 18th annual inter-sangha shuttle badminton tournament, organized by Kodava Samaja, Bengaluru. The tournament concluded on Sunday, with SVGKS dominating the competition by accumulating a total of 80 points.

The month-long event saw participation from 30 of the 31 sanghas under Kodava Samaja, Bengaluru. Vidyaranyapuram sangha finished as the second runner-up.

SVGKS, Sulthanpalya, achieved a remarkable feat by winning 11 out of the 15 finals and securing 4 runner-up positions, setting a new record in recent times.

The success of the team was attributed to the efforts of coach Chendrimada Ganapathy, sports secretary Koothanda Santhosh, manager Chemira Sanju Poonacha,, Theethramada Satish Bopanna , SVGKS secretary Bayavanda Sharath Kushalappa and Kodava Samaja secretary Chiriapanda Vivek Muthanna.
